What is microneedling?

FAQ’s
Will it hurt?
One of the first questions clients ask about this treatment is “does microneedling hurt?”. Generally, no, microneedling does not hurt. Exceed microneedling represents the latest technology in microneedling, which has been enhanced for patient comfort. Before the Exceed device is used, a numbing cream soothes and prepares the skin for treatment. The rapid movement of the needles themselves makes treatment go by quickly. Most clients describe it as a feeling like fine sandpaper on the skin.
Will I see any immediate results with Exceed microneedling?
Because microneedling works to repair the skin from the inside out, it takes time for full results to develop. However, you may see an immediate improvement in the skin as well. Often, clients will leave the clinic with a light glow after their treatment. After about 30 days, you’ll notice more dramatic improvements as collagen and elastin are restored beneath the skin’s surface.
Am I a good candidate for microneedling?
How does Exceed microneedling work?
Microneedling uses controlled damage to agitate the skin just enough to trigger a healing response. When very fine, single use needles penetrate the skin through the Exceed device, the deeper layers of skin respond with increased cell regeneration. The skin also starts to produce more collagen, which is what keeps it looking tight, smooth, and youthful. As we get older, collagen production tends to slow down. So, you might think of microneedling as a natural collagen infusion for the skin.
Treatment is further improved by the delivery of hyaluronic acid (HA) to the deeper layers of skin. This is the same ingredient found in dermal fillers and a wide range of skin care products. It’s a building block for healthy skin, so it will help you get that youthful appearance following your treatment.
